WebResearch, Inc. ("we", "us", "our", "Company") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of information you ("you", "User", "Customer") provide when using our Service (WebResearch / DDResearch) (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy & Data-Use Statement ("Policy") explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we may share it, how we store and protect it, and your rights.

1. What Information We Collect

1.1 User-provided Data

  • Email address (if you sign up or contact us).
  • Any inputs or data you submit to the Service ("User Data"), which may include company names, target names, search queries, business information, publicly available documents or URLs, or other text/data you provide. Depending on your inputs, such User Data may include personally identifiable information (PII).

1.2 Automatically Collected Data

  • Usage metadata (e.g. IP address, browser type, timestamps, session data) via our web server or hosting infrastructure.
  • Log data needed for security, analytics, debugging or performance monitoring.

2. How We Use the Information

3.1 Infrastructure & Service Providers

  • By default, User Data and your inputs are only used to generate the results/reports for you and are stored only as needed to provide the Service.
  • We will NOT use your data for model training, fine-tuning, or analytics beyond service delivery without your explicit consent.
  • You have the right to refuse or withdraw consent at any time; if you withdraw, we will delete or anonymize your data in accordance with Section 5 (Data Retention & Deletion).

5. Data Retention & Deletion

  • We retain your personal data and User Data only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, or as long as you maintain an account.
  • If you request deletion (e.g. via contact email), we will delete or anonymize your personal data and User Data from active storage; backups or logs may remain for a reasonable period for security or compliance, but will be purged according to our data-retention policy.
  • We may also retain aggregated or anonymized data (without personally identifiable information) indefinitely for analytics or improvement of the Service, provided such data cannot be traced back to you.

6. Data Security & Protection Measures

  • We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure storage on reputable cloud infrastructure, access control, and restricted employee access.
  • We limit access to production and user data to authorized personnel only.
  • We do not use your data for marketing or unapproved third-party sharing.
  • We periodically review and update our security practices as the Service evolves.
  • We commit to promptly informing you in the event of a security incident or data breach, and to take remediation steps as needed.

Because our Service may use cloud infrastructure providers located in various jurisdictions, data may be stored or processed outside your country (including in the United States). By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland: We ensure that any international transfer complies with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 9. Responsible AI & Usage Disclaimer

AI-Generated Content Disclosure: In accordance with the EU AI Act (Article 50), we disclose that all reports, findings, and other outputs from the Service are generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. These outputs are provided for preliminary research / reference purposes only.

  • We will use reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of AI-generated outputs, but we make no warranty or guarantee regarding accuracy, completeness or fitness for any purpose.
  • AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You retain full responsibility for verifying and acting on any result.
  • The Service does not provide legal, financial, or professional advice. AI outputs should be reviewed by qualified professionals before making any decisions.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in practices, infrastructure or legal requirements. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes indicates acceptance.
